I just got a ticket from you cuntface motherfuckers. My 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse
If you put my car on your fucking website you better believe ima fucking sue you motherfuckers.
Stop ragging on fucking imports i like domestic cars too but some cars would smoke your piece of shit mustangs. So stop fucking talking about them.

Ok first off, I don't have a Mustang. I *do* have a Mercury Topaz out back that's on blocks and surrounded by weeds. There's also a pile of old tires about 10 feet to the left of my Topaz. Now that we have that all cleared up I'd like to respond to the remainder of your email.. Ahem.. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I think that about covers it, thanks for writing in sparky.

I cant remember the conversions but my mates new car does 180kmh in 3rd and he still has 2 gears to go, 5th being a long ratio. So we think it might get up to about 260-270 but you dont drive a corolla at that speed.

180km/h == 111mph...no way a corolla is gonna approach 260-270 km/h...just cuz the gears might do it...the engine will not! :)
260 km/h = 162 mph...not gonna happen in corolla...unless you got some serious turbo kit you aren't telling us about!! :)

The serious turbo kit happens to be a GT4 celica engine. Its got a camary gearbox, and its damn fast.

I've taken my dad's jetta out several times, it moves quickly to 120, at which, there is slight hesitation, if there is bad wind or an uphill grade, it wont advance any more. With calm air, flat ground, and smooth pavement, it'll keep on trucking to the computer limit at 135mph. It is a 4 speed, 3rd ends at 110, so 135 is probably close to the limit by gearing, but definitely has the power and aerodynamics to do more than that.

btw....nissandriven says a full rotation of the speedo would be 90mph, 2- 180
...we ALL know that a speedo will be setup to go 1/3-3/4 of a full circle. I cant think of any speedo that is numbered to turn a full 360 degrees. So a full rotation might be 120mph, and 2 would be 240. Something that isnt possible in that little fiero

And like it's been mentionned, most, if not all, speedo have a pin at 0 so it can't make more then one turn, + most also have a pin at the end !

Anyway... I got my first car (Buick Skylark 1985) to 190kmh (119mph). Though the speedo stoped at 75mph, a friend was following me. Not bad for a small 2.8l V6 and the same aerodynamic than a brick.

No problem, Elanderholm, I never get tired of talking about my baby. It has a 351 Clevor (Windsor block, Cleveland heads) with a TrackBoss manifold (designed to make the Clevor combo possible) and a 750 CFM Holley. Compression is right around 10.5:1, and I run a Comp Cams roller cam with a moderately aggressive grind. I have no dyno, the engine has never been on a dyno, but judging from the build, it should be in the 450-500 horsepower neighborhood, with about equal torque and a nice broad powerband. Rest of the drivetrain is a C4 automatic (although I'm considering swapping over to an AOD to improve highway manners) and a Ford 9-inch rear end with a 3.91:1 Trac-Loc differential. Now that I think about it, I might run out of gear before I reach the 160-170 I mentioned, but I don't care; that's not what I use it for.

if you swapped for 2.73s, you'd hit 160 easily, but your acceleration would be gone.

That's why I want an overdrive tranny. I did the math, and when the OD kicks in, it'd be like I was running a 2.89 or something rear end. But when the OD goes away, the 3.91 comes back. A right good compromise, IMHO. Only problem is building an AOD to stand up to that kind of horsepower. It does take a bit of work.

What I hate is when people brag about how high thier speedo goes up too, like it can automatically do that speed. This girl I know around here thinks her Eagle Talon is the fastest thing ever because the speedo goes up to 180mph. The speedo on my dad's Vette only goes up to 85 mph, but if she can outrun that, then I'll respect her car as being fast. I'm sure my dad's Vette goes faster than 85, don't know, but it sure as hell gets up to that 85 quick. My car shuts down at 120, the fastest I've had it up to lately was 111mph, that was with my friend standing up out of the T-top.

The digital speedo in my Camaro starts blinking at 85, and won't show any higher, though I've gotten it up to (by my own estimation), just over 100 mph. I normally don't drive very fast.

funny thing: most minivan speedos go to 120-135mph, that would be a sight

shaved doorhandles...i don't care for them at all...i want my car to look completely stock...stock hood,wheels,paintjob,etc...

however i do not wish for it to perform completely stock...actually i want it to be a completely scarey car...when it firse up i want parents to come outside and take their children in before it eats them...i want the city to say please don't drive that here...the cops are scared of it...i want the governement to read my car on the richter scale...ok so i have big dreams...

This kind of sucks, most cars have same top speed. Just others for 10 to 20 grand more get to that speed faster.

Once I get my next car I swear I am totally redoing the fuel injection system to fix that governor. Screw the system, they dont need to know whats under the hood of my car as long as I pay their fricken useless registration fees.

If your thinking of removing some limiter that prevents your car from going over 130 mph, good luck. You cant. you know why? It doesn't exist. You know why a lot of cars top out at 140-160 mph?
