You guys are the biggest bunch of cum guzzling gutter sluts I've ever come across. You know damn well that these ricemobiles are perfectly capable of 5-600hp figures and with their lightweight could spank many gas slurping ugly v8's. At least these people have some character. Sure anyone can drive down the road and see a cobra and say that shits fast, but that is the fun of having a fast import. Surprising people with a fast turbo 4 cylinder. To all those who don't like carbon fiber hoods, bite deez. You all have bad taste for hunky jacked up overweight cars that are only fun on a strip because they can't handle worth a shit. If I had 40,000 dollars to spend on a car I"d buy a early 90's civic hatchback and get about 500 hp out of it and make it look way better and faster than a fuckin mustang cobra for the same price. Hell I could convert the shit to rear wheel drive to for that price. Just thought I'd give you rednecks a piece of my mind. Tomorrow you can bad mouth me all you want and fly your confederate flags high with your stubborn American pride. Haven't you learned that everything else made in America is not worth crap.

If you spent $40,000 on an early 90's Civic you would be a colossal idiot and nothing more. By the way, this is exhibit 923093.

Woah, this ones a real winner, it starts off with the most original token "you're all gay" insult I've ever seen, and from there it just gets better. Riceboy being dillusional "600hp", Riceboy insults "You all have bad taste" and Riceboy beating on domestics "hunky jacked up overweight cars" Uh, there is such a thing as power-to-weight ratio buddy, I may have an extra 1500 lbs, but I also got an extra 4.0L of displacemet. All it's missing is the token threat to do us bodily harm if we touch his car again, and that NASCAR is only seconds away from being dominated by Honda, geeze, frame this one and put it on the wall!

*snorts* "Hell, I could convert the shit to rear wheel drive" Why not just buy a RWD in the first place, moron. As an experienced car mechanic and builder, (I built my first car out of 5 others for a total of $1000) I can tell you that a Civic RWD conversion would require so much work that you would be far better off starting with a RWD platform or building it from scratch. Civic structural members and frame joins are incapable of holding the load a 600hp RWD platform would create. I've heard far too many people say that a Civic can produce 600hp in a street application. Most of them use full drag cars as examples, IE Steph Papadakis' Civic drag. To them, I would like to point out that 1.6 liters is incapable of producing such extreme power with gasoline. Outlaw and Pro class 4-cylinders run on alcohol, and the motors can only generally be expected to last 2 or 3 ours total running times. Also, the highest FWD skidpad numbers EVER produced without slicks was 1.09g in an (more)

I totally agree. It's possible to get somewhere between 5hp and 600hp out of an inline 4.

Integra Type R with a full autocross suspension, a gutted interior, and tub job for extra wide tires. A completely stock Corvette Z06 produces 1.06 G on the skidpad. There goes the handling argument. And I hate to break it to you, but while the Honda B16 (DOHC, VTEC, high-end motor in early '90s hondas) is a poster boy for reliability, it is hardly up to the loads 500 or 600hp would place on it. The block simply cannot take that kind of combustion chamber pressure. I have nothing agaist japanese cars, or american ones (I own a japanese car myself, and I'm very happy with it) but generally speaking, the japanese cars' smaller displacement greatly limits their maximum possible horsepower. A Chevy 350 is capable of making 500 hp with very good reliability and engine life, but a Honda 1.6 liter (96 cubic inches) is not. While there are exceptions to the rule o' displacement, (2JZ-GTE powered Supras come to mind) as a rule, it is just plain impossible. This guy really isn't worth my time.

I've been saying the same thing for years CRX! Every since this thing got started in my area people have been talking about 500+ hp 4 bangers and how reliable they are and how much gas mileage they get! News Flash!!!! Nothing making 500hp is going to get great mileage! if you were making all your power with Boost from a Turbo you could run that much boost all the time and if you did your engine wouldn't last long in traffic and it would get poor mileage! There's also cooling issues with an engine that small making that much power. Rotary fans are quick to point out how much power they can make with 1.9 liters or how ever much they are... but you notice anyone making those big horsepower numbers has their car towed to the line to prevent overheating! whatever.... this battle will go on forever. :-( I thought it was just a phase but it looks like its here to stay!

oh and if this guy points out another Riceboy stereotype! Saying that American car drivers are all rednecks. Two of the biggest states for muscle car fans and owners are Florida (God's Waiting room) and New Jersey! I'm sure there's a HUGE redneck population in those two states... a northern state and a state populated with retirees from the north! LOL this guy is a true moron!

"ricers are the biggest bunch of cum guzzling gutter sluts . You know damn well that our V8s are perfectly capable of 1400hp+ figures and with the heavier weight could stick that power to the ground . At least these people have some class for driving powerful classic cars. Sure anyone can drive down the road and smoke a honda and say "that's a piece of shits" , but that is the fun of having a V8. to smoke people with a so call "FAST turbo 4 cylinder"! To all those who don't like solid metal bodies. You all care too much about overweight .with RWD, any car could be a corner mechine with a good driver.besides, we live for the strips, not streets. If I had 4,000 dollars to spend on a car I"d buy a 69 nova with a big block and get about 500 hp out of it and make it look like a piece of junk and piss u people off for 1/10 of your 500hp civic's price. Hell I dont even have to convert the shit to rear wheel drive to for that price($4,000). Just thought I'd give you ricers a piece of my mind."

don't forget that the 1000+hp integra used a 4.7 liter 4 cyliner.. so even the 4cyl guys know there's no replacement for displacement

For the record, the word is "Come", not "cum". "Cum" is a Latin word meaning "with". Orgasm, or sperm, is spelled "Come". What a bunch of morons. And I love that line about "gas-slurping ugly V8s". Ugly V8s? Who cares how their engines look? Then, the prize winning "shitty handling." Okay, last time I checked, a '70 Boss 302 Mustang produced higher skidpad number than a Civc, Integra, or Eclipse.

Hes a riceboy, remember, to them looks = performance, if a car is ugly, it shouldn't be able to go fast or handle. This is why they were always purplexed as to why I could beat them in my primered-up 78' Dodge Pickup. Looks be damned, I just want Torque!

cuda- Technically I can get 20-25 mpg in my eclipse (roughly 450 front wheel hp) but I know that's not going to happen because to do it you have to drive around basically at idle. Which I never do. So I deal with the 9-10 mpg I get in real life. And it runs cool just fine, but I've done major upgrades to just about everything possible to increase reliability.
oh yeah, RX-7s have 13b rotaries, (two rotors 654cc x2) which is about 1.3 liters. 3 rotors are called 20b and have about 2 liters.

i like the Hemi 426 P/T conversion...alot

i dont think it's possable to conver a civic to RWD with it's stock engine. even if it's possable, there is no reason to add 200 lbs(or more) for the driveshaft and rear end

Someone's living in the wrong country. You can count on me holding the American flag high though.

Hondas are made in the USA, you know...

most japanese "imports" are made in america. that's how they sell them so cheap. japanese techniques, japanese materials, half the time japanese workers, with american tax breaks and american land.
