I think u FUCKING ricecops are just jealous cause your fucking hillbilly big ass pickup trucks and cars that are slow as hell. Most of these cars run faster than camarhos and ruststangs like the new focus hitting 7.2@172 mph. That explains why they made a movie about rice instead of fucking gay ass hillbilly rides like u guys cause u dont have a life except to get jealous over something fast that u can't have. later hillbillys

| Interesting discussion. And I agree pretty much with everything that's being said. My problem with ricing is not the cars themselves. Hell, I don't even mind if someone modifies a Tempo...if you want more power, then more power you shall have. My problem is the so-called custom "style" of modern foreign and compact cars...people who honestly think that bolting a lot of plastic and those bizarre Altezza taillights onto a car or truck suddenly makes it worthy of anything but laughter. For years, when people wanted their cars to look good, they did metal work, re-painted the car, properly lowered it, and put on custom wheels. I think that the custom car world should return to those standards, no matter what car it's being done to. |

Yeah, there seems to be plenty of that mullet action goin' on around my backwoods town.....right now a drug copter is flying around above my house, jeez talk about timing. So although there are other Firebirds similar year to mine in this tiny town, mine is the only nice one. Hell we have about 3-5 badass cars around here, and mine is one of em. Isn't that cool?.....Damn here comes that Drug copter again....

| Here's a great example of ricer mentality, and why I have to laugh at them. Tonight, I went to Pep Boys for a radiator hose and manifold bolts for my Firebird, I'm the only other guy in the store besides these two suburban "skater dude" types with stocking hats on. I see them hanging out in the ricer goodies aisle, eyeing the neon and pointing at the filters on sticks. I pay for my stuff, and as I'm leaving, I notice, the only other car in the lot besides mine is a bone-stock CRX, older model, with rust stains all over the fender wells, wanna guess who it belonged too? Sometimes, I dont' know if I should laugh or cry..... |

Man, and to think, I at one time believed that my days of sittin on the truck listening to Charlie Daniels amounted to nothing......OK, so I didn't have a radio in my 1985 Ranger (work truck) and oh yeah, lets see here I raced a little ricer bastard like this one in my little town north of Columbus Ohio with a 1991 Dodge 3/4 Cargo Van with a 318 with 400,000 miles on it, oh yeah what now you whiny little bitch? Bring it on. And in a final note, you said the new focus, correction, someone did up a focus that can do "7.2 @ 172" the new focus still blows sheep!

| Well, Low Tech, they might have already had some sandpaper and a wire brush at home. Perhaps they were buying some custom parts (if you could call it that), and were going to sand it down and sticker it on the weekend. I do things like that all the time. |

| ricers can look good when they're barely modified.... they run 16s..... my mountain bike runs 20s...... the focus is pitiful, even as a dragster, despite it's speed.... ford does have a nice car, the GTII..... this is a great website |
