The Altima for it is closer to the toll booth.

Plus the driver is an ass.

why is the Altima driver an ass? If you look closely at the picture, they are in the furthest lane to their left, so to me it looks like the jackass in the Honda came over from the right. Making him the ass. Besides, he's an ass just for driving a Honda, the Ricers car manufacturer of choice.

#3, I think it's fairly apparent that the honda got in first and the nissan wedged its way in after, based on destroyed head/tail lights. I think it's also fair to say that they were BOTH asses and were probably fighting over the one toll lane, or had even had some sort of asshole competition prior to this incident.

#3 are you serious? look that the damage that tells you everything. For one, the rear end of the altima is unharmed, as where the honda's is bashed in. how did the rear end of the honda get fucked up if the honda came in second? Also, the honda's front end is practically unharmed, as where the Altima's is bashed on both sides, and the front ends arent touching in the final resting place, proving that the only way the honda's headlights could have been damaged would be from the rear end of the altima... and they are not damaged, so it once again shows that the altima came in second.

So let's recap.... front end of Altima fucked up, rear end fine.... front end of Honda fine... rear end fucked up... this damage indicates the honda was rear ended. I win. Im not defending Honda's by the way I hate those fucking cars... just simply the facts man... the facts.

This is the only news story I could find on the incident. Apparently the Nissan driver lost control.

Anybody else notice in the story, how they refer to the Altima as a "compact". Since when has the Altima been a compact?

#9, Nice work finding the news story. I attempted to find something about it myself but didn't have much luck.

#5/ #6.. lets disregard the news story a minute (which doesn't state which car hit which, but most likely it was the Altima hitting the Honda), whose to say the Honda didn't try to squeeze in just before the Nissan, thus the Nissan hitting the Honda, proving both you and Me correct? Hmmm....something to think about as a possibility.

#12, Actually, I googled "honda nissan tollbooth" and found some thread on a message board. Someone on there linked the story.

$14, They also don't state what precipitated the losing of control. Excessive speed? Jockeying for pole position in the tollbooth derby? It's possible that the civic driver wedged himself in, and the nissan driver "lost control" when they slammed on the brakes and skidded into the civic.

Altima guy: ok...the honda is only a few feet from the toll booth...hm.. maybe I can use my super asshole powers to get my "compact" to the booth just before he does. Hm...it's just crazy enough to WORK! sure the chances of me making it are slim, but who cares?! I drive a compact and he drives a honda! Everything is going to be just fiiiine...screw common sense!

#18, The fact that this occured in the leftmost toll lane and the Nissan is on the left is problematic for your account. The honda would have to have been in the process of forcing its way over, and the nissan wouldn't allow it(closest feasible scenario to yours).

#18, Why do you assume he was thinking at all when he did it?
When I crashed (and almost got killed) I did so because I lost control of my car on a gravel road. A deer was hopping through the road, I was going 60kph and instead of braking I swerved, the car begun to fishtail, the rest is history. I got my driving license 10 months earlier so I didn't know SHIT about how a car behaves at speed and how to control it.
The question: what was I thinking?
The answer: nothing.
I guess it's the same for 90% of stupid crashes.
